< Fade to Noir proposed offer to LeLobster
  • avatar Ill make a counter offer tomorrow with what I would value about evenly in this trade, I will also include the reasoning why for each game. But like I said (maybe you missed it) we can also discuss the trade on Steam. its easier to communicate
  • avatar Otherwise no hard feelings!
  • Like I do want this DLC, but I'm not desperate for it, and I totally get why you would value it higher as a gift - I would too. If there are any games here you'd trade it for then please counter so I can get an idea of what you're thinking
  • So that's just my thought process in valuing things, but obviously there's a bit of wiggle room because it's a hassle to sell on G2A and I also take how much I want or don't want something into account
  • So then it becomes a case of 'If I could sell these games and get £5 for them, then it doesn't make sense to trade them for a game I could buy for £2, because if I sold them and bought it I'd have the game I want plus £2-3 cash.'
  • I sell keys on G2A so when I'm going through bundle leftovers I see some games that sell for like £0.15 on there, so they're basically worthless, but then there are some that hold value and sell for £2-3, so I know I can get that in cash for them.
  • avatar If you want we can talk on Steam, its a bit easier than dividing comments in little pieces here on barter, we can just extent the offer time
  • Thing is that I dont want to send an offer to you which is a huge undercut in your eyes. and because we value leftovers differently im afraid I cannot avoid that. All that said Id be willing to do a 3:1 though
  • Didnt see your latest comment after I added my latest, so let me add another as response. I will gladly accept bundle games for this gift but after I explained how I get my ~ value I didnt hear from you again, so I was just waiting.
  • I also totally understand your point of view but we clearly have a different opinion on how to value bundle leftovers so i dont think well be able to agree to a trade.
  • And tbh Id rather not use G2A/Kinguin for anything so I dont pay attention to that, prices there are whatever to me. I simply judge bundle games based on what bundle they are from.
  • I did not say all your games were worth 50c, i merely judged what some would be worth based on their most recent bundle and its tier. You dont have source bundles listed for you tradables so I dont know where they are from.
  • avatar Then I offered 2:1 so you could have got a £3-5 value for your DLC, which is basically its full price, or you could have countered higher - you still can if you want, but I thought you were going to decline it because you didn't want bundle games at all.
  • When I made this offer the Cargo pack was on GMG for £2 so I made sure to include some higher value games like Deponia and Epistory (£1.50 each on G2A), Full Throttle (£2) and Not a Hero (£3.30) which could have been fair trades.
  • But either way, it's not like you can go and buy the bundle anymore, and even if you could it wouldn't be cost effective to get it just for 1-2 or even 5-10 games.
  • And I don't believe that all my bundle games are worth $0.50 each because some are clearly better/more in demand than others - just look at prices on G2A or Kinguin. Some are worthless, some are £2-3.
  • I appreciate that you value yours higher because it's a gift - that's worth something because if you trade it you won't be able to get another one - but I want to activate it, so it's only worth the minimum price I could get it for.
  • avatar No further comments?
  • example: JingleJam costs $30/35 (the 1st tier is worthless because it contains no games but including it in the calc doesnt change much) for the full bundle, contains 71 games (not counting beta and dlc), so 32.5/71=.45 approximately the price per game
  • avatar Where are you getting these $ prices from?
  • avatar I check the price of the bundle tier the game is in and then divide by the amount of games in that tier. IndieGala games are different because of HH but Humble/Fanatical games are easy to determine a price for
  • avatar Where are you getting these $ prices from?
  • avatar I put a little more value on my Steam gifts because its no longer possible to get them in your inventory from the store
  • Honestly, not with low tiered games. Games from Humble Jingle Jam are worth ~$.45 | Full Throttle, AER & NOT A HERO $.50 | Ken Follett is a higher tiered at $1.7 because its from a Humble monthly
  • avatar How about 2:1?
  • avatar not doing 1:1 bundle leftover for a steam gift, so if you're willing to do more then id gladly counter, otherwise no thanks. let me know
  • avatar If you just got it in a current bundle, including a new Humble Monthly, just assume I already have it. Overview
