  • Isn't 2k CAD is around 1.6k USD? Plus a monitor, yeah, I had roughly the same amount in mind.
  • avatar If you build it yourself you could have pretty much all the top end stuff and a 6gb video card for probably 2k CAD so 500 USD lol, and there are lots of games now asking for slightly more than 4 on video. But oh man... so worth it. makes xbox look like Gamecube.
  • Key worked fine, looking forward to steampunk crawler. Don't usually follow much of either so it will be super cool. I used to work for apple so my computer was about same price as high end PC.

  • Every day I feel more and more that I need a gaming PC =D Maybe this year I'll finally get it, then will play Fallout 4 for sure, Witcher 3 and many more :) Even not so demanding stuff, would be nice to check out at max settings
  • avatar Fallout 4? Sometimes I will forget I'm in a game and just watch the sunrise and have my mind f'ing blown.
  • I've heard people say that about mad max. Which is like the biggest hi five for devs. Apparently gothic armada looks good on low as well.
  • I was blown away. That's all in game. Free roam camera on pause. I just go for drives sometimes. Wildlands is beyond words. Not as pretty as mad max... but holy shit. Best foliage ever. I always wondered how the retinas handled themselves.
  • avatar Yeah, I play everything on MBP early 2013 =D Just compared our screenshots from MM... Damn, on max it's very close to photo-realistic or movie-realistic so to say. But to be fair, the game does a good job looking good at lowest settings :)

  • Oh shit you run mad max on the laptop? I can't game unless big screen. Xbox spoiled me. Some of the 'epic' settings I get to see now have ruined me. Check my screenshots on steam? Does mad max look like that on laptop? Game is beautiful.

  • avatar Apple software handcuffs everything. It's so much of an Eco system that it's like the Borg. Assimilate everything. Cool for iTunes... not so much for gaming.
  • Ya those two are known for having graphics oddities. Both run fine windows 10 and this edited amd driver. Nvidia's stuff is actually more compatible. Can use official drivers on windows side. Mac side... they don't actually do much.
  • avatar But sometimes it surprises me with its performance (although it probably depends on the quality of a game port), for example Mad Max runs fairly decently on my laptop
  • As for the graphics, I have only a 1gb mobile nvidia card and am using its official driver, not sure if this can be further improved
  • Yes, I've noticed that in bootcamp games run better. There are some ported to mac that I'm unable to run (Sleeping Dogs or Obduction, for example), but they run just fine (or barely fine, Obduction) on windows
  • avatar In fact... it was gaben who made that possible while porting DOOM from DOS to windows. Also no mac mod support sucks donkey balls. Oh and you speak volumes of truth about the game. Thanks again for the cool offer. We'all have to try two season pass codes because I used one on me thought it didn't work and bought another one... but don't remember which is which.
  • And I'm running windows 10 with the newest 4gb AMD card. If you do ever need help sorting boot camp graphics... just comment on my profile. The difference is crazy. Games play faster and run graphics way easier in windows.
  • Lol I feel your pain. I only run steam in boot camp because I find mac graphics to be slower and stupider... and forget anti-aliasing. Even then I have to run drivers that some dude edits the code of to make it actually work.
  • avatar But back to hardcore stuff, judging by your most played games you should be well fit for a challenge of Vaporum. And then there's a theme, quite unique for the genre, if you're into steampunk, this can probably provide some addition enjoyment.
  • I personally would prefer Shadow Tactics at the moment mostly because it has a mac version, that is more comfortable for me to play (have to bootcamp otherwise, which is a hussle)
  • "Stay determined" as one game likes to say :)
  • I can't add much to what you might find about the game on the internet, because I haven't played it myself. Since it's heavily inspired by classic crawlers, it should require some more dedication and determination, then less hardcore games.
