  • avatar (Also that abandoning of the offer with no attempt to ask would normally earn -rep elsewhere) but yes, I do think that EVA abandoned offer is the most correct status now, as agree to cancel kinda suggests an opportunity to agree was even given.
  • The issue is that no request to cancel was made, good etiquette is to actually bother to communicate and agree to cancel then (Or potentially an alternative trade), what happened is that he DID abandon the offer as no attempt to ask me was made.
  • One fact is that a large amount of people only accept gift links, so a sent link is lost in that sense as it's now untrustworthy to keep for the future - though that does not matter to me now
  • avatar What do you propose? A dispute in this case wouldn't be accurate because disputes only occur when items are irrevocably lost. I could set the status to "I requested to cancel / other party abandoned offer", etc but I don't think that would be accurate, either.

  • avatar I set the offer status to "I requested to cancel / I agreed to cancel" as no one lost items as part of this dispute and appear to agree to cancel. In the future, please communicate with the counterparty in the event of an issue, and select accurate failure reasons.

  • avatar I can't change the status of the offer though barter/mediator can I think, I'd be fine with it being changed if you could just apologise for the untrustworthy and wrong way you cancelled the trade without communication.
