  • avatar I just want the same treatment as he got. If I do something reprehensible, let me know in a firm but civil way. No name calling, no shadow declines. A dog can learn that way, and so can I. I hope you can consider my request.
  • Yeah, but the reseller "rules" do not always apply to everyone. MYKILL! got 1 decline for accepting an uneven offer: u/984a/o/6245040/ which was not even for his account... I got a one-week suspension and calling me a robber for trading for myself.
  • avatar @Hallak65 (cont) The more specific they are, the more opportunities you give people to find ways to circumvent them. We already established that this is one of your favorite activities. Also, people who want to follow the rules, will do so regardless of how specific they are (Recu, SJx2). Those who don't want to follow them will not follow them no matter how specific they are.
  • @Hallak65: Thank for your concern, but there good reasons for keeping things at a generic level and avoiding to be very specific. Trading is a flexible activity, although through these rules we want to impose certain ranges in order to avoid people taking advantage of others. The extra guidelines are aimed only at resellers, who constantly engage in this activity. The other 2000+ users on Barter have no use for these rules.
  • avatar All I ask is to compile these into the wiki, not for me, but for the community. I'm not the only one who runs into these things, I'm just more visible. I stop, but others will do the same, and you have to run the same circles again
  • That's an old post somewhere in the Steam group and only those can find it who are actively looking for it...
  • avatar @Hallak65: Why is it so hard to trade fairly and why do you keep trying to find workarounds to avoid behaving decently? If you want to play dirty, why do you insist on using this platform when you know that sooner or later you will be banned for doing what you do?

  • avatar to rob, verb, take property unlawfully by force or threat of force. I didn't rob anybody, I just accepted a deal for myself. But ok, from now on I won't do this either. If have time, please share this and other unwritten rules in the group. Thank you.
  • avatar @Kindred: 1 game more wouldn't have made much difference, he would have picked the next lowest value of the choices, SWINE 0.77€. With all 6 it would have been a rather close value difference, that's how much more you could have gotten for your key. Hallak65 knows these prices very well, he applies these calculations (and more) in all his offers. That's why we're treating him harshly for accepting this and misleading you.
  • @Hallak65: In your opinion, you should be allowed to rob other users if you're not the one initiating the offer, or if you end up redeeming the key, no matter the value difference? To reiterate, the years on Barter don't count, the actual trading experience matters and between you two there's a wide gap. For someone like you, with 1500 completed trades, this behavior has no excuse.
  • avatar I care neither here nor there , maybe i should have made it 4+ tradeables at least.
  • avatar I don't make the offer, I ask if he want to cancel, he has older acc then mine and it was for my own personal use. What rule I broke now?
  • avatar @Kindred: Unfortunately, you were ripped off really hard, intentionally by Hallak65. Even if it's featured in the current Choice bundle, Remnant II is very valuable (around 8€). You were given here games worth 2.50€, that were bundled several times and that very few people want (check the WL count for these games). Greed Corp and OK/NORMAL were a bit more valuable than the rest, but Hallak65 specifically chose the least valuable.
  • @Hallak65: Do you think it was smart of you to do this trade?
  • avatar inv sent. If you think you set it up wrong, we can always cancel
Kindred will send 1 of these tradables

in exchange for

Hallak65 will send 3 of these tradables
