  • 🕗 Roasteq set proposed offer to expire
  • avatar I appreciate you saying that and I'll bear it in mind but I might forget in the moment.
  • avatar You can decline any/all my trades and I have no problem. Every trader is different and I usually get a better idea of what each specific trader wants/expects after we successfully complete one trade. That's why I base offers on past trades
  • avatar Not sure if I should mention this but I guess I will I leave the mediator on or haven't changed the setting as I'm not always sure and often like I said don't like declining trades due to social anxiety and awkwardness on my part due to my neurodivergence
  • I try to be reasonable and fair in my trades and as a friend has told me people have taken advantage of me in terms of some of my past trades.
  • As after the trade we spoke a bit and they told me that they were a first time trader so I might avoid them in future given what you have said. I also have a hard time declining offers as I don't want to come off as rude.
  • I don't always know how people value their games as people tend to flip flop on what they mark things at. I'm often out of it so might not always think the trades through. It's also telling now that(mistabang) basically lied to me if what you said is true
  • Errr this got fairly heated. It's a little anxiety inducing tbh. I do appreciate Bart-ee(mediators) stepping in. As for mistabang I genuinely didn't know how he valued the games. When I do these trades I don't always check values for them.
  • avatar The fact that clarification is needed just proves it's unreasonable to strike me. Also, why are we pretending Bart-ee wasn't just made to protect new users and to stop resellers from making money. I redeem my games and Thanatos is not new by any metric
  • avatar All right, let's ask then: @Thanatos: When you accepted u/9396/o/6035579/ were you aware that you'd send them $19.08 resale value for games worth $2.00, that your keys might be resold because mistabang has a private profile and most of his sent-out offers are profit-oriented? Does it bother you that your keys might be resold? Do you care about the value difference? In the current offer with Roasteq, do you care that you're exchanging rare and valuable games for DIG keys and freebies that cost mere cents?
  • avatar Your whole argument is on the basis of grey market values when there's multiple traders with over 5k+ games that are happy to trade for games they don't own. Thanatos owns over 7k games and isn't a new trader.

  • avatar @Roasteq: You're getting a strike because this offer was reported and we looked at it in time to take action. Feel free to report other offers as you see fit, and we will apply the same evaluation methods that are applied here. And being a regular user doesn't justify sending unfair offers. Regular users also get strikes, but far from the amounts that resellers get.
  • @Roasteq: the offers we look at on a daily basis are only a small fraction of what's created. We use filters, or we check certain profiles daily. Among the trades that Thanatos completed during the past 10 days, there was only 1 off like the current situation that none of us saw ion time because it was filtered out. However, as mentioned before, the current offer was specifically brought to our attention.
  • avatar All you need to explain is this: Why am I getting a strike and none of the other traders who have sent similar offers to Thanatos aren't? I'm not saying they should, I'm saying none of us should.
  • avatar @Roasteq: Thanatos has the setting as "Unset Has yet to make the decision", it's clear as it can be. Until they change this setting to something else, we are free to intervene when a situation like this arises. You have been targeted until recently because you constantly send unfair offers and you don't redeem your games, but we cleared that up with the previous discussion.
  • avatar Thanatos owns thousands of games on steam and there are multiple traders like him that just trade for any game they are missing and are happy with the trades. Just look at the trades he has completed and you haven't said anything on
  • You already admitted yesterday you target me. Anyways, you do realize this trader has mediator action disabled so their incoming offers shouldn't be intervened like this one.
  • avatar @Roasteq: Anyway, after our last exchange, we didn't touch any of your offers (as far as I know), but simply checking them now proves that we should. Even if you are not a reseller, as long as you send unfair offer, they have a change of getting declined, for the protection of the recipient. if you don't want any comments aimed at you or explanation from out part, then fine, we won't do so any more, but your offers will still be checked from time to time.
  • @Roasteq: Disabling mediator action for yourself means that we won't intervene with your INCOMING offers, but obviously we will decline those offers that you send out and are unfair. You aren't targeted in any way, this offer was reported on Bart-ee's profile, so we took action.
  • The mediation intervention is an opt-out feature, exactly because there is a lot of abuse with offers on Barter, either coming from resellers, or just regular users (like you) who sometimes likes to get something rather valuable while providing low quality games. RAGE 2 and You Suck at Parking are each wroth more than the Dead by Daylight DLC.
  • avatar I based the trade on similar offers the trader has accepted but it seems you're still only looking after my offers which is why I disabled mediator action and comments myself because you only target specific people and are pretty useless
  • avatar @Thanatos: Please consider the comment left below for Roasteq, if you want to trade any combination of games with Roasteq, please be so kind and send them an offer yourself. Roasteq needs to get one decline strike for what he's attempting here.
  • avatar It's an offer they can counter if they wish. Also, interesting to note nobody has mediator action on in here when you have to go out of your way to turn it off.
  • avatar @Roasteq: Sorry to say but this offer is not equitable. You're sending $7.45 and you want stuff worth $20.86. Your games can't even be considered $7.45 because aside from Dead by Daylight everything else comes from a giveaway or a DIG bundle where games costs mere cents. You're really ripping off Thanatos here, even if you will redeem the games like previously discussed.
  • avatar *Could
  • avatar I sent a new offer since you don't have Thumper or EDF anymore
  • avatar *Could
  • COuld I offer something instead of these two then?
  • avatar Hey, I value GTTOD more than Thumper so I'd prefer staying at 1:2
  • avatar Could we do 1 for 1 instead?
  • avatar €11.24 for €17.91
  • avatar Feel free to send an offer. All my rep is on steamtrades. Some games may say "for beta testing" or something similar since they are keys from the developers but it's the full game. Ask before the trade if this matters to you. I am not a reseller and I am mainly looking for online co-op games to have for Steam Families. Overview
