  • avatar All you needed to say was, "I think that's too low; let's research it," and leave it at that. So yeh I'm going to defend myself
  • low and the account being private. The other concerns you mentioned came later and still doesn't warrant enough red flags. You jumped to conclusions too quickly, and there was no justification for that behaviour.
  • sent. Taking things out of context to fit your narrative. I believe you shouldn't act as a mediator because you jump to conclusions too quickly, exhibit aggressiveness, and make accusations prematurely. Your initial response focused on the offer being
  • interjected in a completed trade with an experienced trader well after the fact which was completely irrelevant to this trade. You can't justify an assumption, point fingers and label me as something because you don't happen to agree with the trade being
  • Ultimately it boils down to me sending an offer they contemplate, and you have the option to intervene and offer advice. However, you didn't do so as previously discussed. Your initial response was confrontational. Also, you crossed the line when you
  • avatar Things have changed substantially from the beginning of the year and we're trying to cut down on resellers and abuse. You weren't that active until recently, and perhaps you didn't get the chance of experiencing what happens when you send bad offers, such as this one. Especially to a new user. Your decline percentage for outgoing offers shows the quality of your offers pretty clearly: 89% of them are declined. Stats visible on your profile.
  • My role is to decline unfair offers, especially when they are made to new users. My role is also warning people that their key might be resold, that the person who they might trade with has a private profile thus they are hiding something. Resellers and scammers will always feel offended that fingers are pointed at them, complain about how unjust their treatment is, yet they will never be willing to provide proof that they are not. See the pattern here?
  • avatar I've traded on this site for years without any issues until now. I won't engage any longer as it's exhausting and repetitive and you are overstepping.
  • This is neither fair nor advisory; It's making baseless accusations instead of providing guidance. The games inclusion in a Humble Bundle shaped the deal... that's all there was to it, you've exaggerated this situation.
  • I have the right to make an offer and they have the right to decline it. As a mediator your role is to offer advice, but you're not merely advising: You've unjustly attacked me without cause despite having no evidence from any of my previous trades.
  • avatar "I haven't done anything wrong": lowballing a new user just because they're easy victims is not "wrong"? "I shouldn't have to prove anything": private profiles should be given the benefit of the doubt until they scam someone of rob them of 20€ worth of games, in your opinion? Is this how trading on Barter should be? Just scam someone and hop onto an alt to scam another person, because moderators should not be allowed to ask for the validity of your account?
  • avatar Reason. You wrote on my completed trade with an experienced trader who would have declined if they wanted. You're comment was unnecessary and felt unfair because you're being biased and making assumptions based on you're previous dealing with other people
  • I shouldn't have to prove anything, I haven't done anything wrong. Whole point of a trade is to get a good deal or game you want. If you don't think it's a fair offer than fair enough but you have over complicated things and made false accusations for no
  • avatar Why does it have to be resold on ST? Wouldn't it be easier to just sell it directly on the grey market? And if you're so innocent, then why hide your profile like this? You're also not giving us any proof that you're not a reseller, by showing us that you actually redeem the games you trade for.
  • avatar you find/show me a trade I've made on here for a game which I have then resold on Steamtrades
  • Making assumptions with no real proof and wrong again. Apparently if a game offered isn't of equal value that means it's going to be resold? lol ... no one on this site is trading at an equal value.
  • avatar You're hiding your game activity and library, and you have less games owned on Steam than trades completed here. That can mean only two things: either you're a reseller, or this is a throwaway account and you're redeeming these keys on your main. Considering the quality of your offers and your ST trades, we're inclined to believe that the first option is the real one. Otherwise, prove us wrong. Either way, this is a terrible offer in terms of value.
  • avatar @ NomNom Cancelling the offer since I already traded for a copy a few hours ago and forgot this was still active
  • @Bart-ee good job assuming that I will resell the key for profit and being wrong *clap clap*
  • avatar @NomNom: We strongly advise declining this offer due to value difference. Iron Harvest €2.09, Hi-Fi RUSH €7.90. Jack will only resell your key for profit.
