  • avatar Publishers can track the key where it came from. Plus many sites can revoked them for similar payment errors. Proof for that, some fanatical keys got revoked like for the City of Beats. Luckily it was a publisher error that got fixed in a couple of hours.
  • But to be complety frank. Yes giftlinks has their pro and contra. Pro they are unrevealed, so they always work. Contra they can be revoked due charge backs or similar refunds. So unbundled giftlinks are mostly scams. Otherhand keys can be tracked too
  • I'm not misleading anybody, my account is not in any risk anymore and the gift link is came from my account. And the question was for this I think.
  • avatar There are plenty of reports from people being banned without a reason after trading gift links. Some of them are on Barter forums, but you can also find several on Reddit, Steamgifts and other sources. Just google "humble banned account gift link" and see for yourself.
  • Hallak65 is misleading you by saying that there is no risk for your Humble account if you trade gift links. Just think of it: they can't track keys activations, but they can track gift links. If your gift link is claimed by a banned account, then your account will forever be linked with that and also has a potential of being banned. When you trade with resellers, you never know to what kind of account your gift link is sent to.
