  • avatar I was also generous bc I really wanted the Stanley Parable game and had had a hard time getting it already. I wanted to make sure I was making a deal that would be accepted.
  • @Bart-ee, I was extra generous, even though putorenas said I didn't mean to be, because he had accepted a previous trade where I had just received the game he was offering from another trader, and he agreed to cancel that order at my request.
  • avatar The resellers who already follow the rules understood a long time ago that doing so is only in their advantage: on the one hand, the gain from one trade is perhaps less, but they don't risk getting suspended. Their offers are seen by regular traders as "good enough to be accepted", thus they get accepted much more than before. The other trader also benefits from this, because they don't overpay for an unbundled game. So, it's a win-win for both parties, as long as the reseller follow these rules.
  • In the past, we had ample discussions about these rules with putorenas, he's well aware of all these things. Thus, not complying to the rules is an act of his own will, and he did so in full awareness that this can be punished. Perhaps he hoped we won't see this offer - I don't know. But we saw it, and we sent out a warning to him that things will escalate if he keeps doing this.
  • We understand that maybe you wanted to be generous so that your offer gets accepted, but the same offer would probably have been accepted by any other reseller who follows these rules, in which case you wouldn't even need to go above the x2 accepted range.
  • Regardless of whether you want to be generous to a reseller or not (although I can't imagine why someone would want to give free money to a reseller that puts their Humble account at risk by trading away the gift links they receive), Putorenas should have informed you about these rules and asked you to adjust the offer accordingly.
  • @Ben: The rules for resellers allow them to accept max x2 the value for unbundled games (and similar value for bundled games). They know very well that if they go above this x2 mark their offer might be counted as a decline, even if it's not them who sends it.
  • avatar Hello @Bart-ee, is there a problem?
  • avatar @putorenas: Are you eager to get a suspension, or what exactly happened here?
  • avatar I trade for my personal library and only give out keys, no links. I mostly look at gg.deals to compare what games are worth, mostly. Overview
