  • avatar As for you, I sincerely hope you can protect yourself from sharking, Med. Int. is there to help you, not resellers. Learning to send equitable offers will avoid cases in which you feel compelled to overpay to a reseller just because your own unbalanced sent offers are declined by other traders. Trade with resellers when you want an unbundled game (up to x2 is ok, but not a dev key / curator act.), and with regular users for other bundled games (similar values for both sides).
  • @ian: Since you already turned off mediator intervention, I don't think further explanation from our part is needed. Dante will keep his strike. Don't be fooled by his pretend innocence, there's much more to it than the eye sees and he has a history of unfair trades plus he's part of a network of resellers that constantly shark other users. This is only one offer for you (and it's not even a tragic one), but this thing happens dozens of times per day over all their profiles combined.
  • avatar To punish Dante for this after clarifying understanding it just pushes me in the direction of: 1. Turn off mod support or resellers won't trade with me 2. Contact outside of barter to avoid penalties 3. Buy games I could have traded for but mods block
  • I appreciate the concern and urge to protect users. But I have explained I understand the values and explained my reasoning for proposing the offer. In my eyes I've saved £15 I was about to spend and offloaded game keys I've had sat for years.
  • How am I supposed to get better value than 1.5x when all my games are from bundles? It seems everyone on the site wants a profit even if I want games that are previous bundles so I went for a 1.5x value offer.
  • @bartee can you explain more then as I'm not sure what you would have me do to get trades. I sent a lot of offers to get a £6 yakuza game on gg.deals offering any game worth £5-£10 each from my collection, no one wanted them.

  • avatar (cont. 2) And just so you know, any reseller would accept your games as long as it's in exchange for an UNBUNDLED game worth about half of your games (=> a x2 offer). They accept pretty much any game above $3, and yours are $10 each. For lower values, they have less profit because of fees, that's why the higher the value, the better it is for them.
  • (cont) Other resellers will then do the same as him, with the excuse that "if Dante is allowed to do so, then so should I". And so on. This is why we have to be very restrictive, especially with resellers. Dante will get a strike, as he should, for accepting a x1.5 offer from a NEW user (which is an even worse offense). Your games: $33.05, what you got from him is $21.88. Here you go, non-EU prices.
  • @ian: With all due respect, you haven't even tried to trade these away at similar value. The offers you sent these past 2 days were mostly in your favor, offers that no one would deliberately accept anyway. On the other hand, we have strict rules for resellers. Allowing them a x1.5 value difference like it is here means setting a precedent for future trades. If Dante is now NOT punished, he will then do the same with the next users too, thus trying to circumvent the rules.

  • @Bartee : For your information, My game keys are global. So checking EU pricing will not help you. Get your facts check. I don't see any reason you should intervene, stating it bad.
  • avatar I'm aware of the price difference, issue is no one wants 1:1 trades so I'd rather do 1.5x value than the keys get wasted

  • @ian: This is not an offer that benefits you. Trading bundle games with a reseller should be done as similar value, while you are offering more than that. Please check gg.deals prices again.
